Update: This backpack NEEDS a padded base/foundation to help the backpack maintain its structure, shape, and integrity while idle.This is my first day using the bag and I’m impressed with the size of the lunch compartment and the amount of content it holds. The lunch compartment is separate from the laptop compartment.The thermal material actually keeps items cool.The backpack doesn’t feel ergonomic with my lunch, 4 bottles of water for a ten-hour work day, plus my Dell Intel Core i5 8th Generation laptop and my 11X17 clipboard.The water pockets are a good size but not wide enough to hold my phone but secure and tight enough to avoid spillage in the event the backpack is knocked over or tipped over.It holds all of my things and I can avoid have multiple bags and stick to my minimalist personality.Hope this helps.If you're trying to travel light, but still bring all the things this is a great travel backpack. It is so spacious it holds as much as my carry on rolly suitcase which is awesome. I was on Delta planes going to and from Italy and it did fit under the seat in front of me on 3 of the 4 flights. On one flight the space under the chair in front of me was undersized for some reason. I had to switch it with my mom's chair in front of her, where it did fit. It was a small little hopper flight plane for that flight and we were towards the back of the plane. So if you're traveling alone you may get unlucky and have an undersized under chair space in front of you, just beware of that. That being said the backpack I would say is generally fine at least for US carrier flights. I don't know about other smaller planes or airlines. Nobody said beans to me about the backpack being too big to bring as my personal item though and like I said it did fit even though I had to swap out with mom on one flight. I don't think I would overstuff it and expect it to fit though. Try to leave room in it. The one downfall of such a big backpack is, I truly lost things in it and couldn't remember where I put stuff, so if you need to find things easily you might want to take notes while you pack. Wish I was kidding, but I couldn't find some stuff to save myself on the long overseas flight and had to do without until I arrived and had space to open it up and find the things. Just bear that in mind.Happy travels, I hope this helps.It's insane how much I can stuff into this backpack with no issue (and I pack A LOT). It has traveled around the world with me and still holds up like brand new. The lock is nifty and works well, I've never tried the charger (I need to double check but I think it's USB not USB-C which is necessary for modern Apple). This backpack is seriously durable and at least decently waterproof, haven't taken it into a storm yet. I've used staple brands like swiss army and so far the quality of this bag somehow rivals that of my expensive packs. Genuinely impressed with this bag, even stuffed at max capacity I'm somehow able to shove it under the airplane seat so it fits personal item guidelines (the straps on the sides help tremendously), it's like having a second carry-on! This bag is seriously incredible especially for the price!Omg, this is the only backpack you will need. It strong, versatile, plenty of compartments, and the lock ability is so awesome. I work in a hospital and have no locker. So having a backpack that locks and is able to keep belongings safe is a great sense of comfort.Thank you I love your backpack its the best I ever had i use it for work and it fits all my gear I am a privet security guard so I Carrie a lot of gear from lights to tools and paper work and extra uniforms it fits it allI've taken this bag on several work and personal trips and have been happy with it.
